I started my photography adventure five years ago after winning a singing competition. I had been wanting to buy a camera for years and with the prize money from the competition I bought a cheap DSLR from a local pawn shop. I used that camera to learn photography and quickly got to the point where its quality was slowing me down. In 2021 I invested five months earnings from working as a Starbucks barista into better gear that let me continue developing my skills. Since then, I have experimented with different techniques and styles and found my favorite niche within portrait and studio photography.
I love photography because it’s the single most efficient way to both represent and elicit emotions, an image is truly worth a thousand words. I have always loved looking at photographs and feeling the emotions they represent. It makes me happy every time I pick up my camera to know that I can communicate ideas and emotions, shape thinking, and bring joy and memories through photographs.
